How to Care for Your Candle
To enjoy your candle safely and get the most out of it, follow these candle care tips:
-
Trim the Wick
- Before each use, trim the wick to 1/4 inch to ensure an even burn and reduce soot or smoke.
-
Let It Burn Evenly
- Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar during the first burn to create a full melt pool and prevent tunneling.
-
Burn Safely
- Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, flammable materials, and out of reach of children and pets.
-
Don’t Burn Too Long
- Limit burns to 3-4 hours at a time to avoid overheating the jar and ensure the fragrance stays strong.
-
Extinguish Properly
- Use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame. Avoid using the lid to extinguish as it may trap smoke in the jar.
-
Keep It Clean
- Remove any debris, like trimmed wicks, from the wax before lighting to prevent uneven burning.
-
Stop Use When Low
- Discontinue use when only 1/2 inch of wax remains to prevent the jar from overheating.
Following these tips will keep your candle burning beautifully and safely every time you light it!
